Our Teachers
Andreu
After studying Translation and Interpreting, Andreu completed a postgraduate degree in Catalan Teaching and in Proofreading and Linguistic Consulting. He has studied several languages and has published Llengut, a board game about Catalan and linguistic diversity. He is a member of the team since the beginning of the project and one of the voices of the Easy Catalan podcast. 🎧
Joan
After working in a variety of jobs, he co-founded the Easy Catalan project with Sílvia and Andreu. He never imagined becoming a Catalan teacher, but he’s always been passionate about teaching. With him, you’ll not only learn Catalan but also get all the behind-the-scenes stories from Easy Catalan—because he’s a real chatterbox. One thing’s for sure: you’re going to have a blast! 😄
Valentina
Valentina studied Hispanic and English Philology in Vienna. She was a German teacher at a high school in Lleida and worked as a bookseller and cultural manager at Ona Llibres in Barcelona. She is currently a Catalan lecturer at the University of Vienna and is pursuing her PhD in Catalan Philology. Her passion for Catalan is unconditional, just like her love for cats and travelling. 🐈
Renée
Renée studied Catalan and English Philology in Barcelona and later completed a master’s degree in Sociolinguistics in Groningen. She worked as a Catalan lecturer for six years at several universities in Germany, and also taught Catalan in summer courses with students from all over the world. Besides Catalan, she also loves cooking and playing the electric bass. 🎸
Meritxell
Although she initially graduated in Chemistry, Meritxell decided to take a turn to follow what she had always wanted: studying Translation and Interpreting (and travelling). Since then, she has combined specialised translation with language teaching. A nature and dog lover, she always finds time to enjoy outdoor walks in good company. 🐾
Cesca
Cesca studied Journalism and Advertising and has worked as an export sales administrator in various design and machinery companies. She enjoys travelling, meeting people, and sharing the Catalan language and culture. Her home is always full of friends from all over the world. In addition to Spanish, English and German, she is currently learning Italian. 🌍
Agnès
Agnès has done many different things so far and is a person with many interests and curiosities, especially photography and anthropology. This year she is joining the Easy Catalan project with great enthusiasm and with the desire to help everyone make Catalan a living and present language in any situation. 💪

Paso 1

En el caso de las clases o sesiones particulares, a continuación solo tendrás que elegir la fecha de inicio.
Si has elegido un curso, recibirás un correo electrónico con la información para completar el segundo paso.
Paso 2
Breve videollamada
Queremos asegurarnos de que estés en un grupo adecuado para tu nivel.
Por eso, te propondremos un día y hora para hacer una breve videollamada con uno de nuestros profesores. Será una conversación informal de unos 15 minutos para evaluar tu nivel y aclarar cualquier duda que tengas.
Paso 3
Confirma la inscripción
Después, te recomendaremos un grupo adecuado a tu nivel. Si es el mismo que eligste al realizar la compra, ¡perfecto! Si no, podrás cursarlo igualmente o aceptar la recomendación de nuestros profesores e incorporarte en otro grupo. Evidentemente, respetaremos tu decisión.
Si te resulta imposible asistir a las clases del grupo que te propongamos a causa del horario, te devolveremos el dinero.
Cada grupo debe tener un mínimo de 3 personas inscritas. Como organizadores, nos reservamos el derecho de no abrir un grupo si no llegamos a este mínimo de alumnos. Si te encontrases en esta situación y el curso en el que te has inscrito no se pudiera abrir, nos pondríamos en contacto contigo para ofrecerte una plaza en otro grupo o hacerte un reembolso total de lo que hubieras pagado.

The groups will have between 3 and 6 participants.
Don’t worry, we will contact you as soon as possible to offer you a place in another group at a suitable level for you. If we don’t find a group that suits your level or if the timetable doesn’t suit you, we will give you a full refund.
All sessions will be held via Google Meet. We will also use email to communicate with students. In addition, students will have access to a web page where they will find all the material necessary for the classes.
You won’t need to buy any books to be able to follow the course, as all the materials will be created by your teacher and uploaded to the platform. Regarding the technical equipment, you will need:
- a computer
- good Internet connection
- a camera and a microphone so that we can see and hear you during the classes
Yes, the sessions will be recorded. By purchasing the course you are giving your consent to appear in these recordings, which can only be seen by your classmates. At the end of the course they will all be deleted.
No, there will be no refunds for classes you cannot attend. If you are part of a group you will have access to all the materials, even if you cannot attend the classes.
